ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special dog food is a dry kibble diet formulated to nutritionally support adult dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency.
ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special dog food is suitable for:
• Dogs with azotaemic Chronic Kidney Disease (IRIS stage 2 to stage 4).
• Dogs with chronic Kidney Disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1 to 4).
Renal support
o This formula contains a moderate level of very high-quality proteins to help support kidney function. Renal insufficiency prevents the kidneys from being able to effectively filter phosphorus from the bloodstream, so ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special is formulated with a low phosphorus content.
Adapted Energy
o Some dogs may have a reduced appetite when they experience impaired renal function. To help support your dog if their appetite has recently reduced, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special has an adapted energy content to reduce the volume of each meal.
Aromatic choice
o To help stimulate your dog's appetite in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special has a specific aromatic profile and loaf-like texture to encourage your dog to eat.
Royal Canin are proud to partner with leading veterinary scientists to produce a tailored dog food for kidney failure. As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only fed to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7-10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.
We know that enticing your dog to their food bowl can be challenging in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite. To cater to each dog's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special dog food is also available as dry food. In addition to this diet, ROYAL CANIN® Renal and ROYAL CANIN® Renal Select wet and dry diets are also available, in order to provide a variety of textures and aromas to support your dog's changing preferences.
Texture variety can help to stimulate your dog's appetite. If your dog enjoys a mixed diet of wet and dry food, be sure to reference the on-pack feeding guides to ensure a healthy daily food intake for your dog. ROYAL CANIN® Renal Veterinary diets are specially formulated to support dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency.

Composition
Rice, maize flour, animal fats, maize, dehydrated poultry protein, hydrolysed poultry proteins, beet pulp, wheat gluten*, minerals, fish oil, vegetable fibres, soya oil, sodium butyrate, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, mono - and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, marigold meal. Protein sources: dehydrated poultry protein (6%), hydrolysed poultry proteins (4.7%), wheat gluten (2.5%).

We offer free delivery for orders above £39.00 within Mainland GB, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland (excluding Offshore Islands and Republic of Ireland).
Orders placed before 12:00pm Sunday to Thursday will be delivered next day. All of our orders are delivered by DHL or Royal Mail.
