ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special adult dry cat food is a dry kibble diet that is formulated to nutritionally support adult cats with Chronic Renal Insufficiency. Kidney disorders can be common in cats, particularly older cats. Your cat's diet can play an important role in supporting their kidneys. 

ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special adult dry cat food is suitable for:
•    Cats with azotaemic Chronic Kidney Disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1 to 4).
•    Cats with chronic Kidney Disease (IRIS stage 2 to 4).
•    Management of calcium oxalate urolith recurrence in cats with impaired renal function.
•    Prevention of recurrence of urolithiasis requiring urine alkalinisation: urate & cystine uroliths.

Renal support
o    When cats' kidneys are not functioning efficiently, that often means that phosphorus cannot effectively be filtered from the bloodstream. ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special provides a low phosphorus content and a number of high-quality proteins to help support kidney health and function.

Adapted Energy
o    Some cats may have a reduced appetite when they experience impaired renal function. To help support your cat if their appetite has recently reduced, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special has an adapted energy content to reduce the volume of each meal.

Aromatic choice
o    To help stimulate your cat's appetite in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special has a specific aromatic profile and loaf-like texture to encourage your cat to eat.

As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only fed to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7-10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.

Enticing your cat to their food bowl can be difficult in cases of food aversion. To cater to each cat's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Renal Special is compatible with ROYAL CANIN® Renal wet diets. With a variety of formulations, aromas and textures, it's easier for you to help stimulate and support your cat's appetite. ROYAL CANIN® Renal Veterinary diets for cats are formulated to help support kidney function in cats with Chronic Renal Insufficiency.

Compositions

Maize flour, rice, dehydrated pork protein*, animal fats, maize gluten, vegetable fibres, maize, hydrolysed poultry proteins, minerals, wheat gluten*, chicory pulp, fish oil, soya oil, mono - and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, marigold meal. Protein sources: dehydrated pork protein (14.4%), maize gluten (8%), hydrolysed poultry proteins (5%), wheat gluten (2.7%).
