Small dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency may benefit from a specially tailored diet to support their kidney function, as well as address the specific sensitivities associated with their size. ROYAL CANIN® Renal Small Dog dry food is specially formulated to support renal function in small breed dogs that weigh up to 10kg.
Royal Canin’s small dog renal dry food is suitable for:
• Dogs with azotaemic Chronic Kidney Disease (IRIS stage 2 to stage 4).
• Dogs with Chronic Kidney Disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1 to 4).
Renal support
o For dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency, the kidneys may not be able to effectively filter phosphorus from the bloodstream. ROYAL CANIN® Renal Small Dogs is specially formulated with a low phosphorus content to help support renal function. A moderate content of high quality and highly digestible proteins is also included in this formula.
Adapted Energy
o It is common for dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency to experience a reduced appetite or even food aversion. ROYAL CANIN® Renal Small Dogs has an adapted energy content in order to reduce the volume of each meal and support your dog in cases of a reduced appetite.

As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only fed to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7-10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.
We know that enticing your dog to their food bowl can be challenging in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite. To cater to each dog's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Renal wet food is also suitable for small breed dogs. Texture variety can help to stimulate your dog's appetite. If your dog enjoys a mixed diet of wet and dry food, be sure to reference the on-pack feeding guides to ensure a healthy daily food intake for your dog. ROYAL CANIN® Renal Veterinary diets are specially formulated to support dogs with Chronic Renal Insufficiency.

Composition
Rice, maize flour, animal fats, maize gluten, maize, hydrolysed poultry proteins, beet pulp, wheat gluten*, minerals, fish oil, vegetable fibres, soya oil, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, mono - and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, marigold meal. Protein sources: maize gluten (8%), hydrolysed poultry proteins (4.7%), wheat gluten (2.5%).
