Certain nutrients can help to support cats with Chronic Renal Insufficiency, which is why the diet you choose for your cat is key to supporting their kidney health. ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef pouches are specifically tailored to support adult cats with Chronic Renal Insufficiency. 

ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef is suitable for:
•    Cats with azotaemic Chronic Kidney Disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1 to 4).
•    Cats with chronic Kidney Disease (IRIS stage 2 to 4).
•    Management of calcium oxalate urolith recurrence in cats with impaired renal function.
•    Prevention of recurrence of urolithiasis requiring urine alkalinisation: urate & cystine uroliths.

Renal support
o    When cats' kidneys are not functioning efficiently, that often means that phosphorus cannot effectively be filtered from the bloodstream. ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef provides a low phosphorus content and a number of high-quality proteins to help support kidney health and function.

Adapted Energy
o    Some cats may have a reduced appetite when they experience impaired renal function. To help support your cat if their appetite has recently reduced, ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef has an adapted energy content to reduce the volume of each meal.

Aromatic choice
o    To help stimulate your cat's appetite in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite, ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef has a specific aromatic profile and loaf-like texture to encourage your cat to eat. 

Royal Canin are proud to partner with leading veterinary scientists to produce renal wet cat food. As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only fed to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7-10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.

Some cats with renal disorders may have a reduced appetite or food aversion, but texture variety can help to support your cat's appetite. To cater to each cat's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Renal wet pouches are also available in alternative flavours and scents and as a dry food to cater for your cat’s evolving preferences. If you feed your cat a mixed diet of wet and dry food, make sure you follow the on-pack feeding guides to ensure a healthy daily food intake for your cat.

Composition

Poultry by-products, pork by-products, beef by-products (4%), wheat flour, sunflower oil refined, pork blood products, maize flour, corn starch mixture, fish oil, powder cellulose, minerals, fructo-oligo-saccharides, marigold meal, yeasts and part thereof. Protein sources: poultry by-products (20%), pork by-products (7.4%), beef by-products (4%).
